After Church, we went to the park so that Chloe would get some time to play. She headed straight to the swing set and sat on one. Fred went over to the back and helped by pushing her gently. She giggled as her feet went up in the air! After a few swings, she moved to the sand box then finally to the slides.
Chloe really had fun! You could see her joy when she played with other kids at the sandbox. They built sandcastles, cars and even houses. She waved to us when she accomplished doing something.
The monkey bars were a bit too high for her so Fred helped her up and she did it slowly.
When we got home, it was already 4pm. I took a quick shower, wore a t-shirt and shorts then joined Fred and Chloe in the living room. They were watching Sponge Bob.
“Why are we watching this?” I asked trying to take the remote from his hands.
“Don’t change it. Chloe is watching it.” He replied and took back the remote.
I looked at Chloe. She was so focused in following up the cartoon that she did not even hear what I just said. I smiled. I leaned back and rested my head on Fred’s chest.
“Are you okay?” He asked.
“Yes, just a bit tired.” I replied.
“Did you manage to clear all the pending bills that we had?”
“Yes I did. I paid the electric and water bill on Tuesday. I was a bit surprised with the bills. They are pretty high than usual.” I said.
“I thought so too yet we have not changed our routine in the house. Did you go and ask as to why it came so high?”
“No, I did not get a chance to do so. I paid the bills online.”
“Okay. What about the savings account?” He asked as he touched my upper arms.
“The savings account is usually a direct deposit from our salary. No monthly reminders for that.”
“Good.” He said. “Do you want some juice?”
He rose up and went to the kitchen. He came back with two glasses of Apple juice and a half cup of milk for Chloe.
“Thank you.” I said as I sipped.
“My cash flow is a bit down. I thought doing service and maintenance of laptops as a side job would be easy money but it seems its not. I have not had a repair job for the past two weeks.” Fred said.
“I am sorry.” I assured him. “It will pick up in a few. Word has to go around that you are doing that.”
“Just try to share it through social media and see if it would bring more clients.”
“I guess.” He said. “Ill do that tomorrow.”
