Indoors

“So what are your plans for the day?” Fred asked while drinking his orange juice.

“I really have no plans. Ill just be in the house and do a little laundry and stuff.” I replied.

“Okay. I had no plans as well. Guess we will hang out today in the house.”

“Yep.”

He scrolled through the T.V. channels and then settled on The Amazing Race show. It was just starting so we tuned in for about an hour with the commercials in between. It was pretty awesome. After it was over, Fred stood up, collected the plates and glasses and took them to the kitchen. I was a bit surprised.

“What are you doing?” I asked.

“Taking them to the kitchen. I am gonna wash them.”

Confused, I looked at Chloe who was giving me a big smile. Fred was not one of those people who does utensils. He would rather cook than wash it. But since he had decided to do it, I smiled back at Chloe and raised my feet up on the couch.

I looked at the clock on the wall. It was already ten minutes past one o’clock. The day was really dragging. I went to my room and got a wide tooth comb. I had to do Chloe’s hair. It was a while since I last did it. Most of the times, I usually come home and find the nanny has already done it.

I undid the mini twist on her hair, combed the hair slowly then did them again. I did twelve twists then returned the pink ribbon at the end of the hair. It looked pretty cute! I was actually expecting her to cry about me touching her hair but she was all calm. The videos on her tablet kept her busy. After I was done, I sprayed her scalp with olive oil to keep it moisturized.

I did the laundry later on which took forever, cleaned the house then ironed some of Fred’s shirts and trousers. By the time I was done, I was so tired. I returned every items in its place and then took a shower. I was to go back to the kitchen to prepare dinner but I was too lazy for that. Since we had rice the day before, I decided we should just have pizza or any other fast food for dinner. Fred and Chloe had left to go pick up more detergent and soap from the stores so I called them and asked if they could come with food.

“Can you pass by a fast food joint and get us something to eat?” I requested.

“What exactly do I bring?”

“I was thinking that we could do pizza.” I said.

“What flavor?”

“Do half and half of pepperoni and barbecue pizza.” I replied. “Chloe does not like the pepperoni so she can eat the rest.”

“Okay but we are still in the store.” He said. “See you in a few minutes.”

“Alright.”
